| Last Meeting |

The December meeting was very nice. There were plenty of snacks. Howard brought a nice osage orange tree branch to mount the phals on that Barbara got from Zuma Canyon Orchids. They are very nice plants with buds. We hope (plan) for them to be in flower for our spring show and sale. Nine plants of the newest breeding should make quite a display.

| Next Meeting |
The January Meeting will be on Jan 9th at 3:00 in the Adams Conference
room at the Vet school. Please bring plants for show and tell. Please bring your vanda plants, blooming or not. The program will be to repot some old, over-grown vandas (which will then be available for purchase) and to discuss how members have successfully grown vandas in our climite and growing conditions.

We will vote on the slate of officers:

We will also plan our February display at the Missouri Botanical Garden. We will need lots of plants, people to help set up on Saturday, and people to take the display down and bring plants home on Sunday. Please plan to help!!

| Orchid Shows |
The Missouri Botanical Garden's annual orchid show, Orchid Island opens on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 and continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sunday, March 13 inside the Garden’s Ridgway Center. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for seniors, in addition to regular admission ($7 adults, $5 seniors; St. Louis city and county residents, $3 adults, $1.50 seniors). Members and children 12 and under are admitted free to both the Garden and orchid show. The Missouri Botanical Garden is located at 4344 Shaw Blvd. in St. Louis, just off Interstate 44 at Vandeventer. Free on-site parking is available. Our friends in the Missouri Orchid Society will be hosting their annual orchid show and sale February 5 & 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Beaumont Room at the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
