Twenty one people attended the meeting on October 12, 2003 at the Boone Electric Community Room. There was one guest, Joan Bourbeau. Patrice Albert, Barbara Giles, Nicholas Krekeler and Howard Wilson brought plants for show and tell. Many thanks to Tom & Barbara Bogard, Mona Laird, and Patrice Albert for providing snacks.

Members enjoyed a slide show from Orchid Digest on Paphiopedium species: SLIPPER ORCHIDS IN THE TRUFORD GREENHOUSE by Trudi & Fordyce "Red" Marsh.

The next meeting will be Sunday, November 9, at Windy Hill Gardens in Labadie, MO, from 2 pm to 4 pm. We will leave from the parking lot of Boone Electric, 1413 Rangeline Street, at 12:00 PM. We will return around 6:00 PM. Please be prompt or drive yourself! Barbara Giles, Howard Wilson, Tom Bogard are willing to drive others.

Marilyn LeDoux has offered the club a 20% discount during the meeting. This is a larger discount than she generally offers. This is a great opportunity to tour a "top of the line, modern, automated greenhouse!" Her greenhouse is about 30 x 90 and she does all the work herself.

Marilyn specializes in Paths and Phrags and bulbophyllums, but she has other orchids as well.
