Founded in 1990 and currently with more than 60 members in mid-Missouri, the Central Missouri Orchid Society is a nonprofit organization that was established to:

• Bring together persons interested in orchids,
• Promote interest in orchid culture,
• Encourage all orchid activities of interest to the enthusiast, including the holding of orchid shows,
• Procure and disseminate among its members information as to the methods of culture, hybridization, and propagation, and
• Exchange pollen, seeds, plants, materials, and information as to sources of supplies used in orchid culture.
